Our Founder

Zoe Patullo - is a Kungarakan woman who also acknowledges her Gurindji family through her maternal grandmother.

Zoe has over twenty-five(25) years’ experience as a proprietor and operator in the retail industry.

Her first business “Zozarts” bought and sold Aboriginal arts and crafts advocating for a fair deal for the artist of Groote Eylandt and those with Groote Eylandt connections.

Two highly successful retail stores , Fitzos Boutique and Footprints on Groote followed, catering for the township and communities on and surrounding Groote Eylandt providing clothing, accessories, souvenirs, homewares, work and footwear.

About Koolootook

We offer authentic clothing and merchandise that promotes the culture and language of the Kungarakan. Kungarakan (The Paperbark People) are the Traditional Owners of Litchfield Park, the Territory Wildlife Park including Batchelor, Adelaide River and the Darwin River Region.

Tourism is thriving in this region. Many local and international visitors to the Northern Territory seek information about the Tradition Owners and culture. Koolootook helps fill this gap while educating the visitors about our people while visiting our beautiful country.

Koolootook is the Kungarakan name for the peaceful dove who plays a significant role in our culture. Koolootook is a legacy project designed to preserve our language and knowledge for generations to come.
